Laser Screeding Overview
Laser Screed is a registered trademark of Somero Enterprises Ltd. which refers to their screeds, and they continue to maintain their registered mark, so other laser controlled machines may not refer to their machines as “Laser Screeds”. Strike Hopper is a new lightweight concrete screed which is laser controlled. Strike Hopper uses a laser transmitted beam to provide the information for machine control of the screeding of concrete by a computer program. Our CR600 or LR30 Trimble laser receivers provide the information from a laser beacon, to our controller, which in turn uses that laser information to control Strike Hopper’s screeding of concrete, using our patented machine.
